Through computerization and automation, greatly improved efficiencies and cost-effectiveness of Public Works, while simultaneously improving response times that enhanced customer satisfaction in the city.Select Accomplishments:• Reviewed all city manual systems and automated multiple functions, including payroll, job requisitions, purchase orders, and project management transitioning from an Excel spreadsheet to a computerized (Tyler Technologies System) improving productivity by 50%• Analyzed and restructured both sanitation and maintenance departments, cross-training employees on multiple jobs functions and equipment, saving $55K annually; this approach reduced headcount while improving services and support of citizens• Evaluated preventive maintenance plans for city vehicles and significantly reduced unscheduled fleet down time by 70%; assessed each vehicle, miles, maintenance costs, and from savings, refurbished a $150K street sweeper rather than having to purchase a new one for the city• Reviewed the paper system of the city’s utilities, including sewer drains and fire hydrants; with no way of identifying the sites after problems were repaired, purchased a Trimble GPS System that created a map of city sites needing service, and established a computerized database with details of repairs for tracking and accountability• Re-purposed disposal of tree limb debris and lawn clippings by using a chipper to produce mulch; provided free mulch for government locations and gave excess mulch to citizens, that resulted in annual savings of $30K

Recruited new businesses for West Georgia in a competitive bidding war with AL, FL, and MS that was successful.
