I have recently completed multiple assignments from FITS in a 3PAO advisory/ assessor capacity. I provided direct support to various different Federal Components in regard to the RMFprocess. I was responsible for reviewing and updating multiple systems under one of the DHS components to make sure that it could obtain its AO (Authorization to Operate). I have also assisted with reviewing and updating multiple security documents to be current such as systems security plans and training documents. I was tasked with reviewing and monitoring all of DHS’s POA&M’s for accuracy and to make sure they are being updated and that their current statues are valid. I was also responsible for compiling weekly POA&M status reports that are disseminated to the components and other DHS personnel. Additional training (mandated by the state or elevated threats of terrorism) received in weapons (certified to carry batons, firearms, and pepper spray), bomb threat and emergency crisis. Perform access control at building entrances and vehicle gates ensuring that employees and visitors display proper passes or identification before entering the facility. Respond to minor emergencies (lost persons, lockouts, dead vehicle batteries, etc.) and assist in serious emergencies by guiding emergency responders to the scene of the incident, helping to redirect foot traffic to safe locations and by documenting what occurred.
