Develop and oversee benefits strategies and policies to ensure alignment with the strategic objectives and business needs of Baptist Health. Evaluate and design benefits programs that provide a balance between providing quality services to attract and retain employees as well as containing benefits costs. Evaluate the current benefits team as well as its structure and work flow to confirm that the department and processes are working efficiently and effectively. Ascertain effective implementation and administration of benefits objectives, policies and programs, and communication of all programs. Establish programs to increase employee utilization of employer owned facilities as well as physicians associated with Baptist Health. Involves working collaboratively with finance, legal and healthcare insurance provider(s) to develop a fluent system benefits program to increase revenues and reduce expenses. Maintain current knowledge of best practices in the benefits field. Ensure superior customer service is provided to all internal and external clients. Develop strategic relationships with key vendors; manage vendor relationships and performance. Develop and implement strong benefits communication strategies so that employees are provided concise and clear information concerning their benefits. Provide leadership, training and guidance for staff, encouraging individual development; promote diversity. Manage and monitor department budget. Oversee all compliance matters and benefit cost matters.
