Analyzing labour relations trends and associated political and economic issues (within the province and interjurisdictionally) with an eye to furthering the emerging priorities of the Government of Alberta. I provide strategic direction for policy development, and assist in the creation of legislation and regulations to support the employment interests of Albertans.

I use my knowledge of working in the deli in order to encourage others to try new things. I relish this opportunity, as it allowed me to express my passion for cheese, and food generally, to patrons of the Italian Centre Shop.I have as much Jedi knowledge about fancy cheese as Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin. I also know a thing or two about using a slicer, a grater, and a band-saw.

Developed and reviewed Ministerial briefings and Task Force funding requests, and decision documents ensuring consistency with the Flood Recovery Task Force mandate and the strategic goals of the Government of Alberta.In addition, I provided research support for policy development initiatives in order to provide the Province, municipalities, and individuals with emergency management strategies, responsible mitigation options, and a proactive approach to address future water management issues.

My role as Information Resources & Access Manager focuses primarily on ensuring that Albertans (both members of the legal community and the general public) have access to legal information and research services. This includes formulating collection guidelines, setting minimum collection standards and evaluating the use of research resources.

Researching labour relations issues within the health care sector in Alberta and across Canada to support ongoing negotiations between the Government of Alberta and other stakeholders.

Researching legislation, primary and secondary information sources and drafting documents used by members of the Alberta Legislature and Liberal Caucus. Drafting legislative amendments in order to ensure that the Alberta Government’s legislation met the needs of the Liberal members of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta and other interested constituents.
