PlaceMakers is a subsidiary of Fletcher Building, with over 60 retail and manufacturing sites, approximately $1billion in turnover, with 2,200 staff and over 500 suppliers.Responsibilities:• Managed and delivered all legal, company secretarial and risk management services across the PlaceMakers business; provided technical legal and strategic policy advice; • Wrote and presented training sessions for staff and management on legal, governance and risk topics• Managed and instructed external lawyers to ensure advice is relevant, timely and cost effective• Led, managed and coached Legal & Risk Management team.

Kordia (formerly Broadcast Communications Limited) is a State Owned Enterprise and is a leading provider of wholesale broadcast, telecommunications and converged solutions throughout Australasia. It has over 1,000 staff and approximately $400million of turnover.Responsibilities:• Provided legal advice and support across the company; including contract negotiations and drafting, tender responses and property ownership obligations • Worked closely with managers in the field services, building operations, engineering consulting and network service divisions

• Provided legal support to the funds management and institutional banking divisions; included advising on the launch of new products and the review and drafting of prospectuses and investment statements• Responsible for the negotiation and drafting of contracts relating to software procurement, supplier service levels, sponsorship and property leases• Delivered legal advice and documentation relating to new legislation impacting the Bank, including presenting seminars, updating contracts, compliance calendars, and liaising with external advisors and regulators

• For 18 months, I managed the legal team at Newton Investment Management (now BNY Mellon), which had over GBP20 billion of funds under management. In this role, I led the project to introduce the company’s investment funds into 15 European countries, one of the first projects of its kind in England• Various other legal roles within the financial services industry, including investment management and futures broking companies
