I have an extensive international network of consultants, politicians, academics and HR practitioners. I am interested in what really adds value in business rather than the platitudinous fads and fashions often proliferating in the HR community.What I doI run a consultancy business which:• Recruits top quality HR professionals into senior jobs. Our interview covers knowledge, skills, intelligence, disposition and cultural fit.• I work with academics, researchers and practitioners to apply principles of social science research to People Management issues, and develop practitioner useful research.• I network extensively in the UK, US and mainland Europe to meet good people, get new ideas and develop opportunities for our businesses.• I run research led conferences in the UK and mainland Europe.• I work closely with my colleagues in a collaborative, but challenging way to deliver good products and solutions.• The effect is that we run a successful, international management consultancy with international members and assignments.My QualificationsMy degree is in Psychology (Cardiff) followed by a post graduate qualification in HR (Cardiff). I have experience of working for 6 major multinationals and have run a successful consulting business for 25 years. I have an unusual distinction in HR of practical experience with a good theoretical underpin and a well developed commercial perspective.I am interested in business connecting with politics, education, technology and doing work which furthers the cause of real wealth creation.
