Daily technical support of machining and heat treat lines manufacturing hub 2 and hub 3 wheel bearings.Responsible for new model quotes, plant capacity evaluation and capital and tooling appropriation requests.Program management from initial bearing design review through PPAP - including equipment evaluation and purchase, fixture and tooling design, generation of project timing, resource allocation, internal and external project reviews, machine installation, machine qualification and all documentation leading to succesful project launch.Assist in generation of yearly plant capital budget and business plan forcast.Active participation in the interviewing and hiring process of technical resources from technicians to engineers.

Technical support for daily compressor manufacturing as well as project management for new/future compressor models. Maintained all documentation in assigned area for training, QS/ISO, PPAP and machine print and part revisions.Responsible for engineering assignments of and performance reviews for as many as 6 salaried engineers.

New and current model design responsibility for automotive HVAC units and AC compressors.Interface with body, powertrain and engine cooling design teams to create correct HVAC and compressor requirements per vehicle.Present design concepts to customers and manufacturing plants to ensure system is designed robustly for correct field performance as well as manufacturability. Responsible for all APQP, DFMEA, Part Print and other design documenttionGenerated validation testing requirements, scheduled testing and recorded all test results

Daily technical support for Radiator manufacturing processesProject management responsibility for purchase of 8 fin mills, 1 tube mill, and numerous core build machines.Launched tray changer process at Connersville plant increasing fin mill and core build output by more than 30%.

Direct supervisory responsibility of 42 union employees. Responsible for daily assignments, discipline issues, vacation and overtime scheduling as well as daily part model inventory and changeover scheduling.
