Started an International import business of Fair Trade handmade crafts.After our four month family volunteer trip to South Africa my wife, Kay, and I started Green Giraffe. As lead salesman, I grew a retail/distributor customer account base from 0 to over 200 within two years. We did it through trade gift shows, large targeted marketing campaigns and numerous sales calls. We closed small retail to large corporate accounts with up to 700 store fronts. I was personally responsible for over seeing all financing. I prepared and executed budget plans, P & L's, and pricing with gross margin analysis.I traveled extensively in the United states and overseas. As I mentioned in my profile, I really enjoy people, helping them in their businesses to maximize profit and building win-win business relationships.Finally the time I spent overseas in Africa, Haiti and Central and South America working with the talented local artisans, often meeting their families and immersing myself in their culture will always be a highlight of my life.
