Cambridge Biomarketing
As agency partner, I played a key role in the growth and success of this start-up communications firm specializing in orphan drugs and pharmaceutical products. I led strategic planning, content, design, and quality control, ensuring creative and operational excellence, managed key client relationships and created compelling new business pitches to win accounts. Supervised the development of over 40 employees distributed across bi-coastal offices through periods of major growth and business challenges. I was instrumental in navigating the company’s acquisition in 2015, including sales strategy, dynamic roadshow presentations, equity and earn-out, and maintaining agency culture post-acquisition.My achievements included:• Continuous promotion throughout my tenure due to creative and managerial excellence (also luck), becoming creative officer and agency owner.• Establishing a new agency positioning to capture orphan drug market and drive new business, leading to revenues increasing from $6M to $24M over a 5-year period. • Playing a key role in the integration of offices in San Francisco and Boston, implementing a strategy to maintain agency culture across distributed locations, while improving opportunities for employee growth and driving increased business.• Identifying a key strategic partner for acquisition in 2015 by Everyday Health for $33MM, and subsequent acquisition by UDG in 2017.• Producing an Emmy-nominated 2016 documentary Rare in Common, a short film exploring the impact of rare disease on individuals, families and society as a whole.
