Employed at a large once-through super-critical coal plant since 1980. A member of the Operations Team for 18 years then moved to Training and Employee development. Developed procedures and policies for all crafts with a focus on Operations. Developed training program for Control Room Operators that included the use of a high-fidelity simulator. Other supporting elements involved an event based training curriculum and detailed operating procedures as well as structured OJT to maximize the results. Transferred to Engineering as the Distributed Controls Group supervisor in 2010. In 2015 acquired the Communications and IT teams and shortly after that the Mechanical Engineering Team. Participate as the site NERC Compliance Coordinator for logical and physical security. Heavily involved in compliance efforts at the site level and corporately. Participated in two WECC Audits for a Medium Generating Facility. First Audit had zero findings or recommendations. Second Audit consisted of one recommendation for the site. Team lead for NGS Decommissioning activities. Developed operational shutdown strategies, turnover packages to shift care and custody of facility to contractors. Chemical and hazardous materials management and mitigation. Supported all aspects of decomissioning.
