Profile bio

About Mike Irwin

I started my employment career in retail managment for 13 years and during the past few years of this career I became involved in both volunteering for both a Fire Department and EMS service. In 1989 I was hired as a career firefighter with the Lee's Summit Fire Department where I had a great career and retired at the rank of Assistant Chief of Operations. I accepted an appointment with the Pocatello Fire Dept in Jan 2009, and served there as Fire Chief until August of 2012 when I accepted the position of Fire Chief in Springdale, AR. where I am still serving. It is a great department, and has a very bright future. Things are moving along and our ultimate goal is to provide the best, most efficient emergency services available, while continuing to improve our department, and the goal of achieving accreditation within the next 5 years.Specialties: Change managment, and labor/management collaboration. Also own a consulting business for all emergency services needs. From Emergency Managment to Continuing Education.

Listed skills include Emergency Services, Ems, Emergency Management, Weapons Of Mass Destruction, and 46 others.
