I planned and taught four English classes per day to groups of over 30 students aged 13 to 19 years old. Working in a foreign country of such vast cultural difference was a major showcase of my ability to work independently, with exceptional organisation and initiative, and the ability to commandeer and manage people my age and older. I achieved this without prior training in the field, and was successful enough to have been offered a full-time teaching job in China before making the decision to return to UK to continue my career in video game journalism.
