Document, report and file state regulated documents through computer based software for patient medical records. Perform pre-shift maintenance and equipment checks on ambulances and associated equipment to ensure response readiness. Perform shift duties including skills reviews, housekeeping, public relations events, and equipment maintenance and repairs as required.

West Deer Volunteer Fire Company # 3 Allegheny County Designation 290 is an all-volunteer fire company located 15 miles north of the City of Pittsburgh. West Deer Township is comprised of 3 separate Fire Companies and 1 Emergency Medical Service. The staff of volunteers is comprised of many backgrounds in specialized fields. As a Fire Fighter/Medical Technician within the organization I have the responsibility for emergency responses in the following fields: fire, vehicle rescue, technical rescue, hazardous materials mitigation and response, emergency medical quick response (QRS).

As an Assistant Fire Chief for the Organization I have the responsibility in assisting the Fire Chief with overseeing and performing fire administration functions in the following fields: setting up new personnel orientation, tracking personnel training files, setting up training events in fire, rescue, hazardous materials responses, and medical fields, monitoring day to day operations, evaluating budget request, conducting risk analysis evaluation and serving as an Incident Commander during responses. The Fire Company is comprised of many levels of Fire Officer Management servings in a matrix to complete a common goal and provide a safe operating environment for personnel serving our community with a quick and efficient response.
