I am the original Imaging Architect for Art.com and have worked there since April of 2004. However there have been 3 acquisitions where the company has changed hands, so let me try to explain the role evolution. I have architected the entire Imaging Platform from vendor image ingestion to storage, to customer dynamic visualization, to printing and manufacturing. Trends International acquired Art.com and Allposters.com from Walmart.com in March 2023, under the name Picasso, LLC. Once this merger took place, I continued on as the Imaging, Printing and Product specialist in a pared down M&A transaction.The systems, products, and content had to be detached from Walmart.com environments, contracts and relationships, and a new phase of integration with Trends International products and system infrastructure had to be completed. This included Amazon AWS and S3 platform changes, moving out of Walmart's Microsoft Azure environment, and integrating massive numbers of products between Art/Allposters and Trends systems. Also a large effort was undertaken to cross list the Trends, Art.com and AlPosters.com products on Amazon and other marketplaces.I implemented the Frame My Photos product line on Amazon for Art.com/Picasso. This was using Amazon Custom products on Vendor Central and Seller Central to allow the customer image to be transferred from Amazon and printed and framed in the manufacturing facility in Columbus, Ohio.Product integrations using Java, .NET, SQL Server, Cassandra, and other technologies transferred products and images between platforms, and I was responsible for a significant portion of this integration.

Same company - Art.com was acquired by Walmart.com and brought in as a subsidiary company. I was converted from Technical Director of Imaging and Visualization to a Walmart Associate at Senior Manager 2, working for Walmart Labs in Sunnyvale and later moved to Walmart.com in San Bruno.As part of this merger, the Art.com Brand was modified to fit the Walmart company goals through the changing of the product assortment, elimination of the international aspects, and a large focus on stocking Walmart Stores and increasing manufacturing productivity. As a result, the Print-On-Demand fulfillment system (which I had previously developed under the Art.com/Allposters.com management) was greatly improved to automatically print all sizes and substrates in the Columbus Ohio manufacturing facility.We had a major shift to use Microsoft Azure as the cloud services, and there a=was a major conversion from Amazon AWS and S3 to Microsoft Azure and Blob Storage. Additional modifications were made for dynamic imaging, image processing, image storage and the uploading of customer images / ingestion of images from large image vendors.Use of Amazon Seller Central was halted, but direct listing on Walmart and Walmart Seller Center was increased.The skills used were largely the same as the prior listing of Art.com from 2004-2019.

Worked as Technical Director of Imaging and Visualization, Product Development Manager and Senior Software Architect for leading online seller of wall decor. Architected .NET and SQL Server production front and back end systems, managed IT and development staff as well as the Product Management Group. Drove the design organization and implementation of a complete redesign of the Art.com website. Integrated the systems and websites of Art.com and AllPosters.com once they merged in 2005. Developed and created Print-On-Demand systems, affiliate customer systems,Original Art and Photography website.Development responsibilities include development of the Imaging Platform for the full image lifecycle, including image ingestion, storage, upload, indexing, productizationusing different sizes and substrates, static images for web, dynamic images, imaging for partner marketplaces such as Amazon, Walmart. Also integrated Imaging APIs inclugding Getty Images,Shutterstock images, USA Today, Library of Congress and other large image vendors.Imaging systems have sold over $2 Billion in Artwork using the Imaging systems I developed.This company was acquired by Walmart.com in 2018/2019 and incorporated into Walmart.com as a subsidiary.
