Mr. Lenzi has worked throughout California and the Great Basin on a wide variety of survey, excavation, and monitoring projects for more than 18 years. He specializes in precontact archaeological resources, including Paleoindians, lithic technology, and hunter-gatherer subsistence strategies. He also has an extensive background in historic-period mining, ranching, and military activities. Mr. Lenzi has experience managing projects and leading crews in a wide variety of environments including desert, mountain, foothill, and coastal settings. He has personally surveyed tens of thousands of acres, excavated hundreds of cubic meters of sediment, found and recorded several hundred archaeological sites, and analyzed thousands of artifacts. He forms successful partnerships with all stakeholders involved, and is passionate about making a meaningful contribution to the preservation and understanding of archaeological resources. He has worked alongside Native American groups throughout his tenure as an archaeologist and maintains strong relationships with tribal representatives. At ASM Affiliates, Mr. Lenzi works as a Director of the Sacramento office, principal investigator, project manager, lithic analyst, staff supervisor, and mentor on all types of cultural resources investigations, and authors reports for compliance with Public Resources Code 5024 of the California Environmental Quality Act, and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.
