Mange and direct daily Drilling activities in accordance with client goals and within Company guidelines / policies. Ensure I’m present during critical parts of the operation to ensure adequate supervision is maintained. Ensure all Drilling, Completions and service providers carry out work activities in accordance with client and Saipem Procedures. Conduct pre-tour meetings with drill crew to communicate daily objectives, safety precautions as required. Review drilling programmes and complete daily reports.

Oman

Develop, implement and update company and client safety policies and procedures on a new land rig project in B.P Khazzan, Oman. I help to improve planning and safe execution of work carried out by the rig crew through oversight, coaching and mentoring.I am responsible for ensuring all the work fronts that are being carried out are covered by current company policies and procedures and also assisting in operations to help improve efficiency and performance.

Bblt Platform Angola

Supervise and train local crews (Angolans) , plan and prioritise work scopes in order to maximise efficiency. I have on a number of occasions covered the position of Assistant Rig Superintendant due to sickness/visa issues.

Operation of fifth generation NOV Cyberbase Automated Equipment, including Top Drive, Iron Roughneck, Star Racker, VDM and Conveyor. Carry out accurate measurements of all BHA components, stroke and volume calculations for the driller. Supervision and delegation of tasks to drill crew ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently and as per company procedures.
