Understanding the physics of the photoproduction of phi mesons off of nucleons, in particular off neutrons. The underlying mechanisms of phi photoproduction are not well understood. There are various theoretical frameworks which seek to explain the reactions. Using data from the g13 experiment of Hall B at Jefferson National Laboratory we seek to understand the exchange mechanisms of the phi photoproduction off the neutron in terms of extracting the spin density matrix elements and then comparing results to earlier studies of phi photoproduction off the proton.
