Plan and manage Quality Assurance activities and procedures. Responsible for promoting quality within our manufacturing process. Communicate with customers regarding quality and engineering issues.

Direct the day to day operations of the Quality staff, write work level instructions, write CMM programs, operate CMM's, interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.

Operate CMM, inspect machined parts for conformance to specifications, use manual measuring devices, interpret technical drawings.

Operational responsibility for the start-up of two new product lines, transit mixers (mobile concrete mixers) and batch plants (sites made from structural steel, that weigh and load cement and aggregate into transit mixers). Managed staff of approximately 40 employees.

Directed the scheduling, receipt, storage, and use of materials needed to build various railcars. During peak manufacturing our Cost of Goods Sold was approximately $30m per year. Managed the Materials Group staff, the Detail fabrications dept., and the Shipping/Receiving Dept., a total of approximately 30 people. Improved inventory turns to 20 per year. During this time I was also the Project Mgr. for planning, scheduling, materials purchasing, and engineering liaison activities for the production of axle housings used on 150 to 300 ton capacity mining trucks.

Supervised the loading, unloading, storage and internal movement of material within mfg. facility.
