I have acquired 30 years of “Living the Life in Transit”. This included working with all of Bus, Light and Heavy Rail. Hired as a Storeroom Clerk and achieving upward mobility of the management ranks through personal development and promotions which included Storeroom Supervisor, Management Analyst and Production Control Specialist. Entering management on the Supply Chain side allowed me to better understand the system, which permitted me to create a Specialized and enhanced processes that supported the needs of the Bus and Rail. This direct interface with OEM, Third Party suppliers and Fabrication Specialists allowed me to negotiate contracts cost that permitted countless cost savings for the Authority. In 1996 I transitioned to the Technology side of Bus Operations into a Data Management position. Utilizing acquired computer skills and recognizing opportunities to improve the quality of each customer ride throughout the fourth largest US Public Transit System, I led the Bus Operations Team in the development and installation of a satellite tracked Automatic Stop Announcement System. By including all arenas of expertise the Authority has successfully complied with Federal ADA regulations. Over the last 10 years I attained the position of Senior Project Design and promoted to the Senior Project Manager. Along with the responsibilities of two Electronic Labs, my major focus was on all Vehicle Technology that included Automatic Stop Announcement System, Automatic Passenger Counters, Video Surveillance System, and Destination Signs. This position demanded original design modification to better address customer aid and focus communications with all approved vendors for cost, installations, maintenance and warranty. Technology has made me directly responsible for numerous million dollar contracts. Project Management with the knowledge and experience of Budgets, Material Management, Transportation, Maintenance and Technology has allowed me success in Transit.
