I have successfully cultivated a 19+ year career as a property/casualty insurance professional in various roles, including 1st- and 2nd-line leadership for eight years. My passion is for developing associates to enable them to provide best-in-class service to customers in their time of need. I have actively mentored others into new roles and have expanded my business knowledge by acquiring my AIC, CPCU and CLU designations. In my current role as Sr. Client Services Manager I collaborate with various parties, both internal and external, to foster strong business relationships. I actively manage more than 40 accounts with written premium in excess of $20M and oversee dozens more as liaison between the accounts, underwriting, claims and various brokers. In addition, I work hand-in-hand with Underwriting to market new business, develop customized service plans and present company capabilities to prospective clients. From a professional/technical standpoint, I've handled homeowners claims in both in-office and field environments and identified/implemented actionable training as a claim reinspector. As a Catastrophe Team Manager, I coordinated small- and large-scale catastrophe events and managed teams of up to 25 individuals in high-pressure catastrophe environments. While in a 2nd-line leadership role, I oversaw in-office claim operations for a six-state region and led my group through a large-scale change initiative. Even during a time of significant change and competing demands, my leadership enabled my group to realize improved service levels and higher-than-expected employee morale.In addition, I have chaired various committees and coordinated multiple projects, achieving successful outcomes each time. This includes onboarding new-to-role associates, facilitating employee engagement and initiating process improvements.The customer experience is what drives the industry and it's what drives me. Our customers want their insurance experience -- from the application process to the final claim payment -- to be quick, accurate and simple. My focus is to remove the roadblocks that inhibit my team(s) from providing that type of customer experience. To that end, my philosophy is to do it once, do it right and lead from the heart.
