I am a transformative justice practitioner, utilizing restorative justice and transformative justice tools to make peace and build power. Highlighting the importance of individual healing as a precursor to community healing, my healing practice is centered around breaking cycles of violence within communities, focusing on addressing grief, violence, shame, and addiction.Over the last 10 years, I've worked on numerous successful organizing campaigns, local and statewide coalitions, assisted in building a local bail fund across Missouri, and advocated for legislative change toward abolition. This work included electing system stakeholders to increase Black political power in the St. Louis region, building violence interruption/community accountability processes for situations of serious violence, managing national organizations and their policy platform to free people from pretrial incarceration and advocating for meaningful bail reform. My expertise lies at the intersection of promoting the practice of healing, community organizing, nonprofit management, violence interruption, and public policy. Driving real transformative policy change that invests in poor and Black communities is a crucial focal point in the work that I do. My theory of change is rooted in an abolitionist future. I am dedicated to doing the work of tearing down these systems of oppression and actively building a world in which everyone, especially Black people are free.
