Current• Launched and developed an event portfolio that generates $3.5M annually – and growing. Research and identify topics for events that meet the educational needs of HIMSS membership. Grew the portfolio from a single topic in 2012 (cybersecurity) to more than 10 today, including cloud computing, machine learning, patient engagement, population health, and innovation frameworks. Manage three-person staff and oversee program development, speaker recruitment. Collaborate in cross-departmental efforts –marketing, social media, editorial - to market and promote the events.• Established relationship with the Cleveland Clinic to co-produce the clinic’s annual “Patient Experience Summit,” which attracts 1,500 attendees and generates $1M in revenue. Leveraged relationship with a key Cleveland Clinic physician leader to bolster HIMSS collaboration with this prestigious health system. Work closely with the clinic to develop the programs and recruit speakers. Now used as the template for future collaborations with healthcare systems to grow revenue and build awareness for the HIMSS brand.• Conceived and developed the most successful online project in HIMSS Media history: Where to Work: BEST Hospital IT Departments. Worked with a research company to field an online workplace satisfaction survey completed by 5,000 healthcare IT professionals to identify the 25 best hospital IT departments in the U.S. The project generated tens of thousands of page views and greatly enhanced the company’s digital advertising efforts by “attracting more eyeballs” to HIMSS Media websites.
