Since Dec 2015, Global Program Manager Robotics Process Automation, Enterprise Services Innovation Lab. After evaluation, recommendation accepted for a Blue Prism robotics infrastructure service based on an offering for external customers, in order to automate IBM internal manual efforts engaged in the Quote to Cash processes. This involves engaging technical resources inside and outside my business unit to train in Blue Prism, and appropriately set up Squads to facilitate an Agile approach to delivery. Set up an education program supported by experienced programmers (mentors), and engaged with the IBM client-facing RPA teams in order to collaborate together. Europe, Americas and Asia Pacific are already engaged in the program, and workshops have been conducted in the Phillipines and Spain, and are planned in Brazil, Mexico and Slovakia. As Program Manager, I also keep the wider team of Automation Focals and Project Managers/Iteration Managers in Innovation Lab informed of projects and opportunities, and also still like to personally engage in setting up some teams and project managing some opportunities.

Global Automation Focal for Accounts Receivable & Invoicing in the Opportunities team (Innovation Lab), still utilising the business network previously established, and now with a focus on establishing a firm pipeline of automation work and formal project initiation, with hand over to the Project Office to engage a Project Manager, ensure a clean start, assist with issues during the project, and track to ensure good progress. This ensured speeding up the opportunity pipeline for the department, rather than focus on seeking opportunities then having to deliver as well.Dec 2012 – Jun Apr 2013, Global Automation Focal, Global Automation Focal for Accounts Receivable & Invoicing in the Opportunities team (Innovation Lab). This required establishing the appropriate management, process and execution team interlocks in each geography, and with my understanding of process and the systems in use, seek out opportunities for automation, driven by reducing manual effort. For each qualified opportunity, I then established a team as the Project Manager, to deliver the solution, then managed it through to completion.

Manager, including people and career management of a department providing specialised outsourced SAP support and project work, initially quite a hands-on role. I grew the team to 13 people, appointing 2 team leads, one in SAP Basis, and the other for ERP modules The department also had a consultant focused on commercial contracts and developing new business.The department performed remote application support for external clients wishing to partially or fully outsource their support function for Basis and all SAP modules. I was responsible for the day-to-day running of helpdesk services, enhancements, upgrades and project work undertaken by the group. He also personally service managed 6 clients, which involved regular client contact and on-site Service Reviews to ensure client satisfaction continued to be met. During this time, I also managed the implementation of a new call logging system with email/web capability, and the relocation of the team from Chiswick to Sunbury.

Contract SAP Configurer, Samsung Europe (lead support for SAP SD). Also assisted with help desk process and simplication.

Senior Associate, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Oracle Financials & SAP implementation consultant. Joined the Oracle Centre of Excellence & lead a successful Proof of Concept project for General Ledger & Accounts Receivable for a major DIY company, then obtained certification for SAP SD, and participated in a successful bid for a branch of the Post Office in Chesterfield, which I then team lead the Accounts Receivable process work then configuration.

Contract Oracle Financials Implementation Analyst, lead implementer & customisation of Oracle Financials (creating a Broker’s Ledger from Accounts Receivable& Accounts Payable modules), concept and design lead & coordinated with Oracle UK programming team.

Senior Consultant, Oracle (UK) Ltd., WorldWide support, and account management of 12 major clients. Set up & team lead Europe's capability of support for a new module (therefore sales could proceed) - Oracles' Project Accounting, after working for 5 months at at Oracle's HQ in California

Consultant KPMG, development projects, & reportimng directly to a partner for 2 years as project manager of KPMS’s accounting software (“Chairman”), hands-on configuration, managing the support and development projects.

In my first job in IT, I started as Junior Programmer to be trained in Cobol, and develop administration and transactional programs for the company, which provided professional insurance to the UK medical profession. The company also sold & offered domestic insurance products. Two highlights were that I recommended an analysis of low value policies, resulting in many being cancelled, creating considerable savings. In addition, I wrote an analysis of cancelled policies to identify occasions where a cancellation was followed by new business, which also saved money on commissions.
