Reports to the Group CEO.Responsible and accountable for the development and delivery of a comprehensive Human Resource strategy that enables One Housing Group to deliver its Business Objectives.Develop and maintain an ongoing effective HR strategy, which meets the medium and long term needs of the Group; drives forward improved business results; and positions the business as an employer of choice.-Manage and develop the capabilities of the HR team to provide a customer-focused, flexible and responsive service to support the delivery of key business results.-Support the Group's leadership team in relation to individual/team behaviours and performance, to support the development of a high performance, commercially-focused culture where continuous improvement is a core activity.-Ensure that all necessary employee development and performance management tools are developed and effectively deployed across the Group. Coach leaders and teams to ensure high levels of performance are achieved and to develop their capabilities for the future needs of the Group.-Lead the HR aspects of all major organisational change projects associated with the ongoing development of the organisation.-Promote and maintain harmonious and effective long term relationships with Trade Unions to ensure business objectives are met.-Lead the implementation of fair and ethical work practices to optimise employee engagement and well being and ensure full compliance with all internal and statutory requirements.

•Designed and implemented the Vision Productions people plan ensuring alignment with the corporate BBC people strategy.•Enhanced the leadership capability of the division by implementing a talent management strategy incorporating succession planning, management & leadership development and coaching interventions.•Successfully integrated an organisation of circa 100 staff covered by the TUPE regulations into Vision Productions along with the subsequent downsizing of the merged organisation.•Developed a team of embedded multi-location HR Business Partners whilst fostering proactive relationships with key Centres of Expertise, e.g. Reward, Employee Relations, Organisational Design, Resourcing and Diversity. •Good working relationships with the full-time officials of the recognised union (BECTU).

•Transformed a traditional ‘Personnel’ department into a team of professional ‘HR Business Partners’.•Ensured the smooth integration of new partner organisations into the Group in line with requirements of the TUPE legislation, bringing a further 11,000 properties under the Hyde umbrella.•Represented the organisation in formal negotiations with the recognised trade union (UNISON) and on the Group’s Joint Consultative Committee. •Closed the Group’s final salary pension scheme to new accruals and introduced a Career Average (CARE) section.•Acted as an employer nominated Trustee of the Group’s occupational pension scheme.

Realigned the HR function to provide dedicated HR support for each of ITN’s discreet business units.Represented the organisation in formal negotiations with the recognised trade unions (BECTU & the NUJ).Managed a 10% reduction in the organisation’s workforce reducing headcount by over 1000.Outsourced the administration of ITN’s defined benefits pension scheme.
