Some amazing projects in my portfolio thanks to my time here. The $350Million world class Translational Research Institute which was recently the recipient of Engineers Australia Building Services Excellence Award 2013 and is short listed for the pending Australian Architecture Awards, The Queensland Emergency Operations Centre (State Award for Public Architecture 2012), UQ Ipswich Auditorium (State Award for Public Architecture 2011), Lilley Centre (State Public Award for Architecture 2010)

Being a Director of the Institute has been a great personal journey. To give back to the Engineering community, whilst working with a great bunch of peers and the team at AIRAH has been so fulfilling.

Special Engineering Projects - Laboratories, Supercar rigs, Hydrogen Labs, all sorts of great and interesting stuff with a great team of guys back then.

Starting a Project / Design engineer and working up to Engineering Manager at the iconic "Palmer's". Palmers did D&C work in explosives, laboratories, Universities, Government and commercial buildings, rail, control centres and more - predominantly all over Queensland but up to New Guinea and more. I worked as Engineering Manager and Project Manager during all of my time there (and QA / IT manager as well!) Great experience, great team of guys and girls. Feature projects such as GODDARD refurb, QUT A&N refurb as Head Contractor, Laser Labs, Initiating Explosives, Dyno-Nobel high explosive lines, and too many to remember!

Under the tutelage of industry giants of the time such as Barry Houston, John Pesch, Werner Greber, Jorge, Trevor, Trevor, John and so many more ex Carrier engineers I learnt my trade - starting relationships that continue today. Carrier design manuals were my bedtime reading. Short form load estimates for brain food, and CAMEL and CAD//CAM design experience, and the first bits of project management, estimating and more.
