I’ve been CEO at Northumberland Wildlife Trust for 15 years over which time we have doubled our reach and tripled our resources. We are the largest local environmental charity in the North East. I’ve been involved career wise in nature and the environment for 35 years with community forests national parks and education after a brief stint as a geologist.I’ve been excited by wildlife since I remember and am a self taught naturalist interested especially in mammals and birds. My personal mission is to reconnect people to nature and switch them onto it’s wonder and benefits.

  I’ve been CEO at Northumberland Wildlife Trust for 15 years over which time we have doubled our reach and tripled our resources. We are the largest local environmental charity in the North East. I’ve been involved career wise in nature and the environment for 35 years with community forests national parks and education after a brief stint as a geologist. I’ve been excited by wildlife since I remember and am a self taught naturalist interested especially in mammals and birds. My personal mission is to reconnect people to nature and switch them onto it’s wonder and benefits. I am inspired by nature too and have several published poetry and prose books the latest North Facing about my exploits in extreme northern wilds. I’ve a bigger volume in this out later this year. I’ve been writing and drawing wildlife a lot recently maybe for publication. I also connect with the natural energy in the environment and keep fit by practicing and teaching Tai chi and Chi Kung. Pretty much all I do is connected back to nature and the wild. I’m a north easterner through and through and inhabit one way or another all if it from Cleveland to Northumberland. I’m interested in linking with people who share the same holistic approach to solving environmental, health and well-being and economic problems.
