I got into internal communications quite by accident - like many civil servants, I said I'd give it six months and it took 17 years before I ended up in a role that felt right.Rightly or wrongly, I believe that internal communications should exist as an enabler, helping not hindering and rooted in common sense and pragmatism rather than theory, process or procedure.I specialise in employee engagement and have extensive experience of working with frontline staff to help them identify solutions for the issues that affect the way they feel about their employer. At the other end of the spectrum, I am comfortable working with senior board members, providing the context for them to engage with their staff with authenticity and integrity. My goal is to help people to take responsibility for their actions and encourage them to listen. Sounds simple, doesn't it?
