I'm a Vicar in the Church of England. Before retraining as a Vicar, I was an experienced leader with considerable experience of change management. Having previously been headteacher of a high performing school I took on the leadership of one of the most challenging academy projects in the south east. Having been appointed as Principal, I oversaw a dramatic improvement in behaviour, community confidence, improved quality of teaching, leadership development, student admissions and the design and subsequent occupation of a £33m new build. I am a passionate believer in social justice, partnership and support. The basis of my approach to leadership is confidence in Hope; not the flimsy and whimsical sense of a bit of luck being on our side but rather an unshakeable belief that tomorrow is not dictated by today.
