Engineering of Optics for Aerospace and Defense Industry using DFSS-Design For Six Sigma Principles ensuring a Robust Design communicated through the DFMEA Process. This feeds the PFMEA, Process Flow, Standardized Work etc., all integrated within the Lean Six Sigma Principles orchestrated through use of effective Program Management Tools such as Stage Gate Process, Work Request Log etc. This mindset ensures that we can and will achieve our Corporate Goals. Part of our foundation is ensuring we have a Quality Focused approached with Six Sigma at the helm as we practice our Quality Procedure, Processes and analysis also part of what I call the "Total Quality System."

Establish a Six Sigma Culture from Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering with Voice of Customer at the fore front. This includes establishing a vision/roadmap, develop the infrastructure, hire and develop personal, incorporate a PDM/PLM system (ie Plex Systems), establish a quality systems, lab, warranty and reliability systems including obtaining ISO certification. Provide Finance budget for North America and approval of Mexico Operations budget while working closely with Sales/Marketing, and Purchasing. Our vision for growth is to Understand our Customer from CTQ thru production launch using disciplines of DFSS/DQE, Six Sigma and Lean. We practice this methodology in all levels of our business. Responsible for P&L reporting each month for North America and Mexico to CEO.

(Lean, Six Sigma and DFSS/DQE)Lean Definition, “The Constant pursuit of “Waste” elimination with zero defects.” The Enemy to Lean is WASTE- we must see the enemy. The outcome of Lean provides a mean shift within the process (i.e. WASTE elimination). Six Sigma Definition, “The Enemy of Six Sigma is Variation". We must reduce/control variation. Together we can Shift the mean by (removeing WASTE) while controling the outcome of improvements/process/designs. The final component (DFSS/DQE) provides the upfront Design Robustness thru the implementation of F=(x). This is what I call the “Total Quality Approach."(LSS) Master of Lean and Six Sigma (Global):Involvement begins by establishing the Vision, Methodology, Global Structure, Process Flow, Guidance, Development of Training Materials, ISO/TS procedures, roll out of require software/ statistical tools and Global Audit at Stage Gates to be used within a what I call the Global Network/roadmap. I develop all Black/Green Belts followed by implemention of DMAIC/Project Charters. Each site has responbile projects while I provide Technical Support/leadership/goals. The results include Baseline/improvement models comparied to the DFSS - Lean Design Analysis.(MDFSS) Master Design For Six Sigma (DFSS/DQE):Globally Development/Deployment of (DQE) Design/Quality/Engineering Network. Included is the Vision, DQE Network Process, Development of DQE Standards, Software’s to be Implemented, Training, enforcement usage of Transfer Functions F(x) for Risk Analysis (DPPM) and Global Audits at Stage Gates Sign-offs. The DQE is “Design for Six Sigma” in practice. DQE Network/Process flow incorporates checks in balances in all Functions relative to design, driven by “Voice of Customer” (i.e. QFD). The Output of the DQE Analysis is the Mathematical "Designed in Risk" (DPPM-Occurrence)- DFMEA report summary of the design. Provide Lead Mathematical extraction of function relationships used in Benchmarking/Lessons learned/DQE Std's.

Responsible for all functions relative to Cable and Shift Systems including Design, Application and Manufacturing. Lead DFSS Design Expert and Holder of 20+ Patents for Teleflex.Part of Patent Committee which resolves all patent litigations, settlements, reviews expert witness, reviews competitor designs for infringement claims, assist in the determination to proceed or pass on patent application as well as work with attorneys developing “Best Mode”Responsibilities include: Globalization of Engineering for all Departments, developing standards, developing QS9000 procedures, managing all personnel, customer interfacing, developing Design Standards, Design Optimizing utilizing mathematical modeling, QFD, Kano Model, SC/CC's, Boundary Diagram DFMEA, Root Cause Analysis using Six Sigma Disciplines, manufacturing support, cost of quality initiatives, overview quality deployment, Cost Savings etc.
