Designed, synthesized and characterized peptides by solid phase peptide synthesis. Performed multistep organic synthesis on multi-gram scale. Developed extensive HPLC methods for purification of small molecules and peptides. Performed expression and purification of protein in E. Coli system, and developed fluorescence polarization assays to identify peptide-protein interactions. Utilized wide range of analytical techniques such as ESI/MS, GC/MS, 1D and 2D-NMR to characterize small molecules and peptides. Performed basic wet-lab chemistry. Published works in peer reviewed journals.

Taught undergraduate laboratory and discussion sections of organic and general chemistry. Held regular office hours, graded quizzes, exams, and laboratory reports. As lead organic chemistry TA, was responsible for overhauling organic chemistry laboratory curriculum. Won Deyer Award for outstanding TA April 2011.

Helped plan and coordinate implantation of electronic delivery system of distribution reports from pharmaceutical companies to FDA. Analyzed and entered paper reports from same companies into FDA system, and verified compliance with FDA guidelines.
