Prior to accepting an early retirement incentive package, for 10 years Mike Scheuermann had primary responsibilities at Drexel University for instructional technology support (ITS) through (1) managing the Online Learning and Collaboration Team, (2) coordinating Client Services, and (3) leading the Instructional Media Services group. Mike was a direct report to the CIO and VP Information Resources and Technology. He coordinated these services for the Drexel University community as well as for those of several partner institutions in their shared IT and/or LMS (ASP model) environment. Over the years, Mike has been an invited keynote, speaker, or panelist, made numerous conference presentations on teaching effectively online, academic technologies and their application, assisting faculty in entering and succeeding in the online learning world, and conducted conference workshops on these and related topics. He has taught completely online courses for over 17 years, most all at the graduate level, in a variety of programs, while using no fewer than five LMSs. Mike served on many University committees including the Strategic Planning Committee for 2012-2017, Drexel Leadership 2020, the Academic Computer Advisory committee (Chair), and the Library Advisory Committee.Specialties: Facilitating online graduate-level courses for over 17 years in the College of Business, the College of Engineering, the School of Education, and the College of Medicine. To date as an adjunct: 85 sections with nearly 1300 students.
