I am a highly motivated senior management professional with over 40 years’ experience in the marine, events, hospitality, leisure and security industry. Many successful charitable and business events being delivered ranging from monies being raised for five lifeboats in the form of sponsorship, sporting events, yachting rally’s and large corporate events within the UK and abroad. I take a great deal of pride in my work and always have strong commitment to the organisations I work for, setting high standards, producing excellent financial results, whilst priding myself on good customer service, developing customer relationships and outstanding organisational skills.I am a strong team leader with good communication and motivational skills. I have a can do approach and highly adaptable. I have a wealth of experience in management and the varying daily challenges that arise, with the ability and understanding of the importance to make fast accurate decisions in a busy environment. Key Achievements• A successful management career leading to targets being met encompassing the many aspects of any large marina resulting in the trading profit being doubled over 5 years, including attracting additional commercial tenants on site.• Setting up a central purchasing operation throughout MDL which has lead to cost savings of over £125,000 in the first year.• Organised two major fund raising events whilst serving in the Armed forces on behalf of the RNLI, resulting in the purchase of five D Class Lifeboats and leading to the MBE being awarded to me in 1994.• Organising the MDL annual Christmas Cruise to St Malo for the past 10 years, which now attracts 350 MDL customers annually.
