I helped the site complete more than 50 major Improvement Items by working closely with our Regulator. During my first 6 years with Dow Corning I enjoyed a number of process engineering and manufacturing roles in 3 different major process plant areas. This involved a mixture of day to day troubleshooting, plant optimisation responsibilities along with design of new equipment and commissioning. This helped me achieve Chartered Engineer (CEng) status in 1993.

I spent almost all of my time carrying out practical laboratory work in the biochemical engineering field of proteins and enzymes. I was given a top (4 point) grade result following this assignment.
