- Rated by the Brigade Executive Officer as the best Captain of 14 serving on Brigade Staff.- Wrote a Brigade operation order to deploy a 100-man unit for disaster relief anywhere in Alaska within 48 hours of notification. This required creating a notification timeline, prepositioning equipment near transportation nodes, and conducting multiple alerts.- Supervised eight subordinates who were individually responsible for resource requests, travel orders, and special projects such as the training of a select group of Soldiers in mental health resiliency.

- Rated by the Brigade Deputy Commander as the best Captain of 11 serving on Brigade Staff.- Served as a Project Manager of a $50-million contract to develop Iraqi human intelligence capabilities in Diyala Province, rated as the best of its kind in Iraq. - Prepared talking points and served as a subject matter expert during a series of summit meetings that resulted in increasing the number of Sons of Iraq militia paid by the Iraqi Government from 6,000 to 8,100.- Coordinated military operations with seventeen American advisory teams who were the primary communication link between US units and their Iraqi counterparts.

- Second in command of the Brigade’s only 55-man surveillance Troop. This unit contained unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), signal intelligence, and chemical recon equipment.- Managed the repair and upgrade of $56 million in equipment following a 15-month tour in Iraq. Prepared the unit’s manifests and HAZMAT documents for future deployments. - Coordinated life support, fuel and maintenance support during five field exercises in Alaska.

- Led a Platoon comprised of 21 Soldiers and 4 Stryker vehicles on patrol in Baghdad, Iraq. - Engaged local Iraqi security officials, civic leaders, media, and civilians in an effort to prevent ongoing sectarian violence. - Planned and conducted raids on high-value targets resulting in the detention of a bomb-making cell.- Responsible for $7 million in equipment both during combat and the return shipment to Alaska.
