Chapter 3 came quick - although I've been investing and advising with GSV for years (back to the very beginning of Ministry Brands in 2012), but I've finally joined the team officially in 2019 as a Managing Director helping with our operations team. We currently help with management and sourcing for 6 different software platforms (all of which we have ownership in as well), but that list is always growing. Our goal is to continue to assist these great companies in growing their brands, while helping our entrepreneurs and investors achieve immense value in the process. To date we've had recaps with our platforms totaling over $ 2.6 billion since 2015, and yes, that number also continues to grow.It's a great feeling when you join the last team you'll ever work with - I couldn't have joined a better one! Previous experience:Chapter 1: Healthcare – 12+ years as a hospital CFO for 3 separate companies across the country (seriously 15+ moves – not as fun as it might sound). Turn-around expert, yielding +200m in EBITDA performance improvement over 6 different hospital systems (2004-2015).Chapter 2: Entrepreneur – Joined Ministry Brands in 2016 as CFO and shareholder. MB is the world’s largest provider of software to churches and non-profits. Helped lead the company to successful 10-figure private equity recap in late-2016. During that time, and since, I’ve managed the M&A for Ministry Brands (which subsequently has changed the holding name to Community Brands). Acquired 36+ businesses from ’16 thru the present for CB, however I’ve been involved as a buyer/investor/operator/advisor in another 75+ software acquisitions across other platforms I invest in.
