Having originally trained as a teacher, I worked in both New Zealand and the UK. On my return to New Zealand I undertook a 3.5 year apprenticeship in the printing industry. An opportunity arose to take on a role as a Technical Sales Representative, eventually leading to a country management role for a multinational company supplying products to the printing industry. I was looking to combine my love of education with my commercial experience and secured a great position as a National Manager at an ITO. My current job as Membership Manager at RICS continues to provide great opportunities to support learners as they work towards chartership. I'm also privileged to understand the learning and development needs of the construction, infrastructure and commercial real estate sectors - this enables me to then work with organizations to provide them with solution based training options.
