Summary:I am a professionally qualified Associate (Digital Engineering / BIM) with 12 years experience in delivering large, complex, civil engineering projects for major contractors and consultancies in the UK. I have experience throughout the project life-cycle including tender preparation, permanent and temporary works design, programme and construction management. My experience has been gained primarily working on nuclear, educational, residential, retail and healthcare projects. I have a strong working knowledge of BIM standards and software, as well as proven experience leading and managing digital engineers.I continue to learn and champion new digital engineering processes. I recently completed a data analytics apprenticeship where I developed new skills in manipulating and visualising data using a variety of techniques including Python, SQL and PowerBI. I have experience trialling and testing new digital engineering advancements such as drawing free construction. I am eager to utilise future digital advancements particularly the use of open source software and file formats.Previous Experience:I was the Digital Engineering Lead responsible for delivering the complex buildings within the Heat Sink scope of the Hinkley Point C Project, which manages the cooling water to the nuclear reactor units. Due to the enormous scale and complexities of the project I was responsible for creating and promoting new digital engineering processes to support the site delivery team. This in turn provided certainty to the project stakeholders and significantly improved the chances of the project being built right first time, to programme and to budget.I was influential in the development of digital engineering processes and setting standards on the project which had over 50 digital engineers. I was responsible for managing 6 Digital Engineers (Senior to Apprentice level) to achieve the required deliverables which include but not limited to: creating / managing federated models, model clash reports, 4D construction sequences, model information take offs.Previous experience working in a building structures design team on a wide variety of refurbished and new-build projects within health authority, residential, education, leisure and retail.Responsibilities: The production of 3D structural models and all drawing output for feasibility, tender and construction stages using Autodesk Revit Structure. Specialities: Working on BIM level 2 projects using Revit and Navisworks (clash detection) to produce fully co-ordinated models and drawing packages.
