North Slope In Prudhoe Bay Alaska

On site wellsite geological supervisor for BP on the North Slope in Prudhoe Bay Alaska. Responsible for multi – leg horizontal well drilling program with the use of a coil tubing rig. The drilling of the horizontal sections consisted of setting and positioning whipstock tools in order to mill casing windows prior to drilling the horizontal sections. Horizontal drilling consisted of high speed interpretation of LWD tools, samples, effective geo steering in order to maximize attainable pay zone and minimize gas/water leg penetration as well as anti-collision with existing wells.

Wellsite and Operations geologist for multi-rig exploration & appraisal drilling project in Libya (Sirte Basin). Responsible for all geological operations & logistics of a multi-well drilling campaign peaking at five rigs, including supervision of critical wellsite operations and personnel, identification of drilling hazards, preparing & evaluating bid tenders for mudlogging/coring services, preparation of comprehensive final geological well reports and concession relinquishment reports for government agency (NOC). Other tasks included detailed core and cuttings study to characterize facies belts and reservoir properties in eastern Libya (Cyrenaica and Sirte Basin).

International experience includes geological supervision of wildcat exploration wells in structurally complex regions (Sudan, Chad, Yemen, Algeria, Canada, UK, Cuba) including the supervision of well-site personnel (i.e., geologists, directional drillers, mud-loggers, wire-line loggers, QFT technicians) and geological operations on multi rig overseas exploration and development drilling programs. Responsible for geological quality control, overseeing critical well-site operations (i.e., core-point picks, wireline logging, selection of RFT/QFT intervals, etc.), providing geological and English language training to locals workers, preparing final geological reports and well logs. Provided liaison between geological exploration and development teams. Liaised with engineering staff concerning drilling and other operational concerns.
