SAP strategy has led to over £70m of business benefits through successful delivery of 3 programmes. Strategy to standardise on key strategic platforms has reduced OPEX. Upgrades of major applications delivered on virtualised platforms reduced operational risk due to lack of vendor support. Directing governance function, via the Design Authority, to ensure alignment between business initiatives and the IS strategy. DA responsible for approval of all IS changes across entire IT estate. Design Authority function provides contribution and influence on major change programmes up to £50m.
