Provide consulting and administrative level services to an environment consisting of over 1000 servers in a hybrid environment using a mix of VMware for private cloud assets, and Azure for public cloud assets. Selected contributions include: Implemented a Desired State Configuration solution using PowerShell to enforce compliance items and prevent configuration drift across the enterprise. Authored many different automation solutions to provide the business with a repeatable process that empowers end-users to execute of a variety of tasks themselves through a self-service web portal. Examples of these solutions:o A self-service offering that allows personnel with minimal experience to configure a VMware host completely, deploy and configure the required virtual machines, then notify the end-user when complete. o A self-service offering that allows an end-user to deploy a virtual machine, pending approval from the appropriate individual. A virtual machine is deployed and configured to fit the options that the end-user picks through a series of options in the web portal.o A solution for building an ESXi host from start to finish, completing many traditionally manual tasks programmatically, including: o VMware host updates o Storage vMotion to transfer templates from one vCenter to another o Create a domain controller and a file server

Selected contributions include:• Implemented and administered System Center Service Manager, System Center Orchestrator, and System Center Operations Manager.• Designed & authored Runbooks that automate business processes to integrate with the Self-Service Portal. This allowed the small Cloud Engineering team to be extremely effective with very little resources. An in depth understanding of PowerShell helped to improve these Runbooks by offering flexibility that does not come out-of-the-box with Orchestrator.• Developed many tools using PowerShell to improve the speed and repeatability of a variety of tasks, including complete SSRS implementation (instance installation, configuration, report deployment), 2 tier application deployment (application tier/database tier), 3 tier application deployment (application tier/service tier/database tier)• Provided engineering and administrative level services to an environment consisting of over 160 servers in a hybrid cloud (private cloud & Azure) with 2 Active Directory forests. This environment hosts over 1000 total customer organizations.• Provided configuration and break-fix support around 6 Steel App Traffic Managers in 3 datacenters.• Management of IIS 7, 7.5, 8, & 8.5 which included: Installation, configuration, daily administration, and break-fix support of websites, application pools, & FTP sites SSL certificate management
