As a member of the Office of Communications' Digital Team at NASA's Mary W. Jackson Headquarters, I:+Served as the product lead for NASA Explore, NASA's 7.4 million subscriber flagship digital newsletter. I worked with stakeholders to write, produce, and publish this weekly newsletter, then analyzed metrics and implemented improvements based on data+Coordinated updates to the NASA.gov homepage and other web pages, providing web support during broadcasts of launches, missions, and other live events+Created content in support of NASA's Artemis program by researching, drafting, copyediting, and publishing web articles, social media posts, and other digital content geared towards a general audience+Provided creative and strategic input for other NASA flagship online content, including feature articles, multimedia stories, and social media posts+Assisted in coordination and production efforts in NASA.gov's Drupal 7 content management system by producing and publishing web pages, tags, section pages, and other products.

I produced articles and multimedia content within Education Week's CMS, edited and posted social media copy, drafted and edited SEO-friendly headlines, and coordinated and managed production of several digital newsletters.

Edited and posted stories, podcasts, videos and other multimedia elements to Frontline's medical news sites and the Frontline Medical Communications wire service; diagnosed and corrected problems on the sites and within the content management system; reported and wrote breaking news articles about the Center for Disease Control, National Institutes of Health, and other federal health organizations for Frontline and related clients; operated and co-managed Frontline social media pages, including Facebook and Twitter; composed, edited, and published e-newsletters showcasing Frontline's medical news content.

Wrote print articles about emerging educational technology for both Education Week and Digital Directions. Contributed to the Education Week and Digital Directions websites by blogging about the news and updates in the education marketplace, and other digital education initiatives, through Movable Type. Produced and coordinated content for digital newsletters, and drafted social media content about education news for Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin and other social media platforms.

Focused on education, health and state politics while working in Annapolis for a wire service. Wrote several articles about a controversial bill to stabilize county education funding levels, legislation to legalize medical marijuana in Maryland, and a proposal to shift teacher pension costs from state to county governments.

Reported on local issues as a freelance journalist for both the College Park Patch website and the Chevy Chase Patch website. Covered the Solar Decathlon, an international university competition to build and design an environmentally friendly housing unit, in a two-part report with photos and a mid-length article.
