Non-Residential Assessment Coordinator
Current- My goal is to provide fair and equitable assessment and taxation services, resulting in each property contributing its fair share to the tax base. It is my opinion that Assessment should be a key stakeholder in.
- Leading the valuation team for all non-residential properties in Airdrie (Commercial, Industrial, Hotel/Motel, Mini-Storage, and Multi-Family)
- Responsible for the valuation of over $2 billion in market value. Which results in tax revenue of over $28 million.
- Prepare fiscal impact analysis statements for proposed developments and land use changes and supporting these figures in front of council and local boards.
- Provide real estate expertise and insight for the SDAB (Subdivision and Development Appeal Board) hearings.
- Coordinate pre-roll and open house discussions with tax agents and business owners.
