Referee/Roving Official/ Tournament Director
CurrentAs a lifelong tennis player, 30+ years at this point, I thought that it was time for me to give back to the sport that I adore. I discovered the opportunity to become an Official during the pandemic. I sat down and began my certification process. I really love this game!I started out as a Roving Official working many Junior tournaments, and found my way to the Lane Cane Tennis Center in West Orlando, where I had played tournaments as a Junior myself. It was here that I reconnected with my roots and so many more colleagues and friends. This was home.As of late, I have been made the Resident Referee. I have had the opportunity to interact with thousands of players and their families. I have made friends with former ATP Pros as well as being invited to play with them at their home venues! This has been just an amazing opportunity to have a very positive impact on the development and growth of the sport at the grassroots level in hosting more than 40 tournaments annually!!!I have earned the respect of so many players and their families from my steadfast beliefs in fairness, sportmanship, and respect for our sport.Who knows where this passion of mine may lead?!
Certified Personal Trainer / Trx Cardio Tennis Instructor / Tia Cardio Tennis Instructor
CurrentI specialize in functional training, nutrition, and conditioning along with sport specific training. I have a specialization in tennis, hockey, and cross training for adventure racing. I also design sports and nutritional diet programs for those looking to gain muscle, lose fat, and improve their overall well-being though functional training. I work with all levels of fitness and most limitations. I find "the work around" to most physical injuries and trauma to allow my clients to succeed in their fitness journeys. The TRX Suspension and Rip Trainers have changed the way that I train. To simply be stronger is not the answer. You must be flexible, able to endure, and recover quickly. You have to look at the long game and not just the short gains. Muscles mean nothing if you can't use them to their full potential. As Randy Hetrick, CEO of TRX wrote in Muscle & Fitness, "Remember: Your first day on TRX is your worst day on TRX. Each day after you will improve in a significant way." http://www.muscleandfitness.com/athletes-celebrities/pro-tips/expert-advice-ex-navy-seal-stays-functional-trx

My understanding of healthcare reform has gone from "Hmmmm" to "I get this" to "Let's try something new". "Very interesting" is my goal for both the marketing and performance perspective.Sadly, after four weeks of developing a progressive campaign list and giving much needed facelifts to sales pieces and whitepapers, my services we rendered obsolete due to budgeting concerns. It's too bad that that the brass failed to see the value in getting my services for less than half of the going rate. Good luck monetorizing a company who has yet to define who they are.Onward and upward.

Consulted and assisted in the fabrication and installation of numerous projects during a peak season. Yes, there is a great many more businesses using online services. However, every agency I know now has someone internally in the capacity of SEO specialist.
Marketing Consultant
Responsible for the locating and maintaining of sponsors and event participants.
Director - Branding & Product Placement
My role is recruiting competitors, developing product placement, trafficing event materials/production and designing events for sponsor promotion. I am responsible for the development of collateral materials, online promotions, and player development. The Fireball Run, is a live action interactive transcontinental game and is the Race to Recover America's Missing Children. It is NOT a race. Competitors drive their vehicles from one side of the country to the other over a 9 day period. The Race to Recover America’s Missing Children is an awareness campaign to support the Child Rescue Network for missing and abducted children. The efforts of the inaugural run resulted in 21 missing children being reunited with their families!
Account Manager
Jack of all marketing trades. I was the product/service champion/creative director/traffic coordinator of new and unconventional/guerilla marketing and advertising methods. It was my responsibility to educate prospects, local government, and the general public about the services Gotcha developed. Our unique offerings include everything from mobile billboard vehicles, to human directionals, to segway chariot promotions. If my clients wanted their message seen and not forgotten, they came to me for the solution. I performed media buys in TV, radio, print, and other media. I functioned as creative director with several accounts, was the traffic coordinator for production projects, and even the graphic designer when needed. On the flipside, I performed vinyl advertising installation on our vehicles; recruited, hired, and trained promoters; and even built our in-house infinity wall studio and designed client events.
Programs Committee Member
Developed new concepts and events to share with the OAF.
Free Labor / Intern
SEO company that specializes in search engine placement through organic, paid placement, and pay-per-click methods. My responsibilities included Google Adwords generation, cross referencing, and keyword placement. Essentially, I functioned as Account Executive, they just did not have the budget to hire me. Additionally, I developed collateral material and wrote ads for "fun".
Server
I have been a patron of Outback since '86. I started working for Outback back in College when I was introduce to one of the original founders, Tom Shannon. I started out as a bar back and was promoted to server shortly thereafter. Over the years, Outback was my fail safe means of employment as I went about getting my career in marketing underway. All the while, their standards never deviated from the core values of taste, service, and exceeding expectations. I have always been happy to reference my time at the locations if found myself working whether it be in Gainesville, Minneapolis, or Central Florida. The biggest thing that I learned while being a server was that no matter the situation, it was my job to make sure that my guests, patrons and first-time customers were treated as well as possible and that I have every chance to affect the outcome of their dining experience. My goal was to convert guests into patrons with each meal ordered. This methodology has served me well in the sales realm of marketing in that any situation may be overcome if your efforts are honest and you have a team that you can count on.
Merchandise Coordinator
Responsible for ensuring corporate standards in key vendor accounts. Coordinated promotions, collateral materials, and store displays.
Marketing And Advertising Coordinator
Minor League soccer team to the Minnesota Thunder MLS team. I designed their logo, collateral, tee shirts, and even contributed my voice to game day announcing.
Manager - Online Auctions
Auction planning, inventory control, and art direction were my primary responsibilities. Grew monthly sales 2,000% through media planning, traffic coordination, and inventory control implementation.
Visual Merchandiser
Merchandise coordinator for the "#1 Bike shop in the USA", with eight custom shops located around the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. I was responsible for store sets and changes, with seasonal rotations.
Inline Skate Tech Rep - Equipment Division - Corp. Trainer
I began as a season employee who became the new hire trainer with Nike Factory stores in Central Florida. After breaking several retail sales records, and developing training materials and improving team morale, I was pulled up to the majors in Beaverton. The Nike Foreflex Inline Skate line was my baby. I represented the Eastern US with a territory that ran from Miami to New York, to Sioux Falls, calling on accounts, running demo shows, and doing loads of grassroots marketing. There were only two of us reps in this capacity ever. I was also a certified inline skating instructor.Sadly, after selling through our stock, I was informed that my division was being dissolved. They wanted Bauer to be the ONLY skate entity within the company. What a waste of a tremendous design and wonderful technology. It was a shame because the skates rocked! I was personally clocked at 52 MPH! (Coming down an inter-coastal causeway in Ft. Myers)
Department Head - Team Sports & Footwear
