Given the pressing needs of Canadian exporters during the economic fall-out of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was asked to reprise my previous role as a Senior Account Manager to assist in providing front-line response to Canadian exporters and financial institutions in this time of need.

Seconded within Global Trade to drive Trade Connections within the Industrial Manufacturing sector, I led engagement efforts with innovative traditional manufacturing companies (with a focus on material handling systems, automation, forming technologies, and metrology) serving various industrial sectors, including (but not limited to) automotive, forestry, mining, aerospace, and other manufacturing. I was also responsible for coordinating efforts amongst my colleagues in Industrial Manufacturing to ensure effective, end-to-end support of the Canadian industrial manufacturing base.My core function in this role (prior to secondment) was to be responsible for driving process change and improved standards within Global Trade as the team evolves its operational delivery model. By successfully delivering on these responsibilities, I contributed to my colleagues delivering improved service and trade opportunities to Canadian exporters.

I was the Manager of a group of 8 credit insurance underwriters, located in various EDC offices across Canada. My team had the pleasure of serving a number of clients across various industries within the Resources sector, including agrifood, agricultural equipment, fisheries, pulp & paper, and forestry. My team sought to bring the highest quality possible service to our Canadian exporters, and to support them in their international trade ambitions.

I was responsible for authorization of credit and underwriting transactions for EDC's credit insurance program, touching on the Light Manufacturing, Information & Communication Technologies, and Transportation industry sectors.I was also actively involved in the continuous improvements initiatives within EDC's insurance program, as well as broader corporate initiatives.Through this role, I also provide coaching and mentoring to a team of approximately 20 analysts, as well as performance support for the Insurance management team.

I was responsible for supporting EDC's worldwide network of employees efforts to fulfill the needs of their Transportation oriented exporters. Furthermore, I work towards establishing and supporting sector strategies, goals, and tactics. Experience in customer support and transactional management in automotive, heavy truck, trailer, specialty vehicle, aerospace, military/defence, rail, transportation services, and marine industries.

I was responsible for serving Canadian exporters based in western Ottawa and Eastern Ontario. I engaged with companies and their financial partners to help them realize export success.

Structuring credit insurance policies for Canadian exporters in the ICT and Transportation industries, as well as performing credit analysis' of foreign buyers.Technical support for various aspects of the credit insurance program.
