I am the Dean of Student Services at Harvard College and also Director of Emergency Management there. The Office of Student Services supports an equitable academic and residential experience across Harvard College, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Student Services oversees the Registrar of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS), the FAS Disability Access Office, the Harvard College Housing Office, and the Harvard College Office of Academic Integrity and Student Conduct, the FAS Testing Center, and Student Transition Services. I chair or serve on a number of committees, and sit on the administrative boards of Harvard College and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. In addition to my role as Dean of Student Services, I am the Director of the Harvard College Emergency Management Team. Prior to my appointment as Dean of Student Services, I was Registrar of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Harvard, and previously the Director of Admissions and Registrar at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government where I led the conversion to a paperless admissions process and the implementation of new student information systems. I earned a master’s degree in higher education administration from Harvard and a BA in political science from Syracuse University. Before coming to Harvard, I served as a Peace Corps volunteer at Nkayi, Zimbabwe.
