So I have been officially retired from Prinitng since 2017.Do I miss going to work everyday, with schedules and deadlines? NO!I do miss, the paper, the presses, the bindery machines and the smell of a print shop. A project completed a happy client and the pride we all had in accomplishing a tough and timely product. So yes I miss printing but I do not miss working.

I am fully Retired for my career in Printing and various management positions.I am currently Doing yard work, keeping house and Golfing.I spend my Golfing Days at Glen Acres Golf Club in Burien. However I would enjoy helping out as a consultant or a mentor in both the printing world or other management needs that may arise.Say Hello if you have the time I do miss my many contacts that I developed of the years.

I was the General Manager at Printex Press for just over two years. During my two years we installed a 28" Four Color Komori, Installed Computer to Plate System with The Prinergy Front-End.We became FSC Certified, Implemented Staccato Printing.We more than doubled our sales and increased profitability.What I enjoyed was branching out into sales as a General Manager and working with the sales staff.Printex Press had some wonderful people to work with and we accomplished a lot together over the two plus years I was there.

I provided leadership that made us 99% on time delivery. I increased throughput in all departments while decreasing labor.

Valco was a very fun and interesting company to work for, we had wonderful owners that helped us all grow personally and professionally.I was responsible for taking Valco to a digital workflow and bringing digital prepress and traditional prepress together. I was able to train all of the prepress personal and keep them as vital employees. I was also very involved with many areas of production and scheduling.We went from an $8 Million company to $25 Million Company. Put in a digital workflow, CTP and Digital proofing became a very important Printer in Seattle with the ability to meet tight deadlines and produce quality Web and sheetfeed printing.The people who worked together at Valco performed as a team and it was a wonderful experience.
