About Mike Cato, Jr., Ph.D.
As a young child, I always knew I wanted to be a scientist. It wasn’t until my grandmother passed away of lung cancer that I made a clear distinction and dedicated myself to becoming a cancer research scientist. That journey led me to working at one of the most world renowned cancer centers. During that time I was exposed to startups, VCs and the emerging biotech industry in Houston. At this point I realized that there was an opportunity for me to continue to move the needle in research & technology by going into technology commercialization. In a continued effort to help move the needle, I am more excited than ever to combine my strong customer-facing experience with my passion for problem solving, to help organizations grow and move the needle as a Business Development Executive in tech.
