Strengths is designed to be more inclusive by giving employment opportunities to a wider range of people, focussing less on experience and more on potential.My role at the National Trust has been to deliver that training, whether face to face or online and currently I have trained over 2000 Hiring managers and staff in the process. I have also been involved in the creation and delivery of the Licence to recruit training, designed to give all staff involved in recruitment the tools they need to get it right first time.Prior to working for the National Trust I spent 14 years in the Police Service, 5 of which were spent as a trainer in the Learning and development team. My core responsibilities were overseeing the development of new recruits and special constables from members of the public to fully qualified police officers. I delivered training on topics such as legislation, interviewing suspects and witnesses, issuing tickets and stop and search powers. This is where I earned my Level 2 Learning and Development qualification.Before joining the training team I spent several years as an investigator, interviewing thousands of suspects and witnesses. I was greatly experienced in this area and became a tutor for new members of the investigations team.As well as all the above I have also been self-employed as a professional Stand-Up comedian.
