Differentiating Facilities advises companies on how to make building services a differentiator in the war on talent - and measure success aligned to business objectives.Most recently we have led the strategy for planning, opening and operating x 2 HQ buildings in Amsterdam (20k sq m) and Madrid (30k sq m) for a blue chip global client. Each building is a co-location of 20 operating companies to deliver a more co-ordinated business strategy. The FM strategy was developed to ensure employees of the operating companies interacted on a more regular basis – driving business revenues. He created a hybrid model for operating the buildings – between a tenanted building and a sole occupier to align with business objectives.

Global strategy for Client Services – soft services for the bank - documents, catering, post rooms, archiving.

Strategic management of catering, vending and soft services across the RBS Group in UK, Ireland and Offshore. Management of circa £50m contract values in over 250 buildings (1600 full FTE’s) and catering revenues of £13m. Part of the team delivering new HQ building in Gogarburn and several other landmark buildings in the UK and NA. I am a commercially minded, highly client orientated individual with experience across a wide range of disciplines.

ExCeL consists of 60,000 square metres of exhibition space, 60 conference and banqueting rooms, 25 restaurants and bars. The ExCeL site is 350,000 sq.m. and consists of multi-use hotel, retail and office space. The venue opened in November 2000. I arrived when ExCeL was a mud field site in the Dockland a year before opening - and developed FM and Food Services concepts from a blank sheet right through to delivering 50,000 lunches and related services to the Boat Show!

Citibank is a multi-national financial services group with 26 buildings/offices in London. I progressed within the bank from Services Supervisor to Asset Manager and over an 18 month period had the responsibility for opening from greenfield site the new European Headquarters in Canary Wharf (500k sq ft.) from an FM services angle.
