I served as president of the board of directors who took ownership of an under-performing, local radio station in 2017. As Marketing Director I helped transform 102.7FM KPGZ into a thriving community asset. I worked with the operations team to create a fresh, new strategic approach in positioning KPGZ as Kearney, Missouri's "Home Town Radio Station" for music, hyper-local news, weather and sports.Our extensive rebranding effort began with a new logo, website, on-air and social media marketing, and the creation of an awareness campaign that targeted listeners and businesses of Kearney, Missouri. We hired a new general manager who streamlined programming, daily broadcast operations and community outreach. Within 18 months, KPGZ was an active member in the Kearney Missouri Chamber of Commerce and flourishing as information and publicity partners with the City of Kearney, Clay County and the Kearney Missouri School District. We rolled out a new sponsorship campaign that was attractive and affordable for business owners eager to reach a strong local audience. In 2021, 102.7FM was named Business of the Year by the members of the Kearney Chamber of Commerce. Under the umbrella of Prime Broadcast Group, the operations team has created KPGZ News, a daily e-News resource of local and regional information; KMO-TV which simulcasts a live weekly talk show called "Kearney Live"; and the popular "Coach Minnick Show" featuring the State Champion Kearney Bulldog Head Football Coach, Logan Minnick. KPGZ also provides live play-by-play broadcast coverage of Kearney Bulldog football, basketball and baseball games.
